Research is a collaborative process that involves a team of people. I am dedicated to fostering a welcoming research community. When I was a graduate student at the UC Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory, I strived to build a strong sense of community, as well as link the marine lab to the UC Davis main campus. Additionally, I think it is necessary to share scientific findings with a wider audience. I have participated in a number of outreach events in local communities, including organizing touch tanks at a local farmers market and holding film festivals comprised of short science films.
